SABI ISLAND 11th year of River Beaver Fun! June 11-13, 2004 Rain or Shine/Water or Sand! Once again, mark your calendars and tell your boss you'll be gone for a few days. Some have learned the hard way to take the following Monday off as a day of rest and recuperation.C
If your ski is still in storage then get your sad ass off your couch and get moving Sabi Island is only 11 days away. We've seen lots of action on the sabi chat already in preparation for the big gig. With all the rain we're expecting to explore some backyards and streams that are typically non-pwc friendly. Watch out for the flying RAPALA. During high water conditions they are known to fly right at your head. This years Island Theme has been voted on and the results are: super heros and evil villans. Guys should not even think about tights. Sabi Queens should think in lines of naughty villians. I have two blow up......................chairs for the winners. What?....what did you think I was going to say when I said blow-up?
Thanks to the donations that have already rolled in, the fireworks show is working its way up to being the best yet. Donations will still be matched $1:$1 up until until Noon on June 1. Making a donation is simple. Just visit the Sabi Chat page and click the "Donate" button or simply click here: http://www.team-sabotage.com/sabichat/default.asp then click donate.
Where the hell has the Sabi King been all year? Unless he shows up at the Island in some unprecidented manner, it apears that this may be the most underrepresented year for Sabi. Rumor has it the King and Sabi 'd Clown have been on a rendezvous over the last year and they have build some kind of strange love relationship that we can't even write about without attaching a x rating to this letter. Let's just say his lips aren't red as part of his costume (Sabi 'd Clown's are however). Sabi King and Queen will come down to a vote again this year Survivor Style. We may make it a Sabi All-stars event if there are no new contenders. It's all about Style points. Biggest camp (420 or Joe & Sue?), smallest camp, has anybody ever lived on nothing at Sabi Island? What kind of silly question is that? Of course. Herkert came back last year!
Start thinking about two long distance trips. First one to the North to the Damn. Should be great seeing that water blasting over it with all the rain we've had. The second you'll need to 6-pack a lunch because we'll be gone for a while. Bring a credit card and a small gas can (strap it on if you stand, pack it if you sit).
Somebody needs to bring horse shoes! Gerloff re-introduced us to that game last year and it would make a great island game. Add it to Sabi Chat if you can bring a set of horse shoes with stakes. I will be bringing a 3 foot soccer ball for an official round of Sabi Soccer. The current should be plenty strong for a good game. The long awaited Super Sabi Scavenger Saturday will happen in 2004 as long as water levels are higher than sand like last year. Several 3 foot soccer balls have been purchased this year for Sabi Soccer. Sabi Island Page

Sincerely,
SABI

Fire Breathing
Sea-Doo!
I found this puppy on
eBay. Somebody really needs to bring this to Sabi
Island! The
description is as follows: "1996 Sea-Doo powered by a JFS-100-13A gas
turbine engine. Engine has been equipped with dual oil pumps and coolers for continuous
operation. The engine is fully throttleable and has a driveline brake as well as
reverse. Full instrumentation with auto-start. This craft also is set up to
perform a fireshow. This is not an everyday rider, this machine was built for
demonstrations and exhibitions. As all turbine engines can be dangerous buyer
will assume all risk in operating this craft." http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1779002759

June 2002 News
It's amazing how much has happened in the last couple months. If your ski's still in the barn, get your sally ass off your couch and get outside. It's getting warm and the rivers and lakes are calling out a loud and clear......"SABI"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This months news is dedicated to Sabi Kings of the past, present and future! Many have dreamt of being Sabi King or Sabi Queen but we all know that it is only bestowed to only one lucky Sabonaught and one lucky Sabonet. If your even thinking that you may not have what it takes to be Sabi king but may have what's lacking to be Sabi Queen; don't even think about it! You'll have your chance on Super Sabi Scavenger Saturday at Sabi Island this year!
